Builders tape is a multi use protection, repair and maintenance tape that is an essential addition to every toolbox.
Builders tape is a PVC tape specially designed for the protection of surfaces during plastering, painting, rendering and transportation. This versatile tape has good adhesion properties to a variety of surfaces including metal, glass, polythene, UPVC and wood. This tape can be used in or out of doors and is water and UV resistant. The tape has good resistance to low temperatures and is stabilised against UV degradation.
For best results surfaces should be clean, dry and free of contaminants such as grease, oil, dust or moisture. Ensure any loose material has been removed prior to application.
Not recommended for applications that continually exceed 60°C. Builders tape is UV resistant up to 14 days. However, if the application is to endure longer than 7 days in intense sunlight, a test should be made to ensure that the heat endured does not bake the adhesive of the tape to the surface to which it is adhered.
